For over 40 years the Women’s Health Center of Lebanon has focused on the care of women in Central Pennsylvania. When the opportunity arose to design a modernized facility, WellSpan Health, its new physicians, and Beers + Hoffman worked to provide a state-of-the-art building to continue this legacy of care.

The health center is a two-level building of approximately 21,000 s.f. and houses two separate practices. They include The Women’s Health Center of Lebanon and WellSpan Gynecologic Oncology.

Upon entering the Women’s Health Center of Lebanon, patients are greeted by three separate seated check-in areas featuring a darker walnut wood wainscot with a light stone-look solid surface counter and privacy separation with natural reed and glass divider panels. The efficient check-in and check-out work area for staff is flanked by a warm and welcoming waiting area complete with natural materials of stone & wood feature walls. Comfortable seating arrangements including lounge chairs and sofas in warm earth tones give plenty of areas for clients to wait by themselves or with family members.

In the clinical area, there is a mix of Doctor’s Offices, Conference Rooms, Exam Rooms, and Specialty Medical Areas that carry the warm earth tone theme throughout the remainder of the spaces. Each Doctor’s Office or Exam Room on the perimeter wall has a window that brings natural light into the room and adjacent corridor. Art, created by local artists, was placed by the facility to add interest and color in each of the exam rooms and corridors.

The lower level houses a large staff break room with LVT floor in a natural wood style, plenty of cabinetry for storage and flexible furniture for lunches and meetings. There are also several departmental offices with large window wells that bring light into these lower level spaces, making them feel bright and spacious. Natural feeling materials were also incorporated in the restrooms which have porcelain stone tile on the floors and walls along with a slate and metal accent border.

A similar palette of colors and materials was also used in the WellSpan Gynecologic Oncology Office tying the aesthetics of the two facilities together.
