Cedar Crest Campus Remodel
Lebanon, PA
A key outcome of the facility study performed by district architect Beers + Hoffman Architecture was the approval by the Cornwall-Lebanon School Board Monday night November 14, 2022, to move forward with a proposed two-story addition to connect the Cedar Crest High School to the Cedar Crest Middle School.
This initial move becomes the starting point for the full renovations of both buildings on this campus, as the high school was constructed in 1964, the middle school in 1969, and both last had renovations in 1997. Major MPE replacements are needed to permit these buildings to continue to function for another 20-30 years.
This connection building will provide 22 classrooms as swing space while both buildings are renovated in the next few years.
When completed, the Education Center administrative functions can potentially be relocated to this structure, in lieu of costly renovations to the current outdated structure; and, classrooms using basement spaces in the high school can be relocated to the remaining classrooms in this new connection.
